In Zachery’s Own Words
I saw your video on Facebook and thought I’d help out and share.
One of my profound life experiences was ultimately shaped by my ability to recognize and act on my intuition. I woke up one morning at the age of 15 and noticed a bump on my side while brushing my teeth. I showed my parents, who then scheduled an appointment with my pediatrician. I don’t think I slept the night before the appointment; something inside was telling me something was off.
The day of the visit, the doctor took a look and said not to worry about it and that there was no rush to get it removed. My dad had a history of benign tumors, so the assumption was the same diagnosis for me. Following the visit, I told my parents I was worried and wanted to get it removed. At this point, my ‘feeling’ inside had developed and was more pronounced. I knew it needed to be removed as soon as possible. We scheduled another visit with another doc and I eventually had surgery.
Following the surgery, we all found out the tumor was not benign, but malignant; a very rare cancer at the age of 15.
Call it a feeling in my stomach, a sense of self-awareness, or my intuition- ten years later I’m alive and healthy because if it.
