Our children are growing up in a society with many unhealthy outside influences that can lead to drug addiction, self-esteem issues, acting-out behaviors, apathy and no direction or purpose in their lives. Parents have the opportunity to counteract these negative patterns by incorporating the intuitive pathways. When children learn to get in touch with a deeper part of themselves–the part that feels, listens and experiences the world in a comprehensive way–growth and enlightenment actually happen.
What is intuition? It is usually referred to as the inner voice—something that often arrives as a feeling rather than an intellectual, reasoned thought. It may start as a physical sensation, a feeling or an idea that pops into your mind out of nowhere and moves through your body and urges you to listen. We are all born with intuition. Intuition is what helps us determine right from wrong. When we pay attention to our intuition, it can protect us in dangerous situations, help us discover our life’s passions and desires and develop an inner trust for making good decisions.
Why is intuition important? The quick answer is that it leads to increased confidence and independence. When children are raised to listen to their intuitive messages, they learn to trust in their own feelings and thoughts. Decision-making becomes easier and more reliable.
